Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) has been named associate sponsor and official nutrition sponsor of Holmenkollstafetten, Norway's largest relay race.
It is the first major sponsorship deal for the company in the Nordic region.
Established in 1923, Holmenkollstafetten takes place May 13, 2006. More than 15,000 participants, who take part in teams of 15, are expected to participate.
As official nutrition sponsor, Herbalife joins a number of other high profile brand names such as Mizuno sports clothes and VG, one of the country's leading newspapers.
