Sports Medicine Specialist Joins Herbalife's Nutrition Advisory Board

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF), a global nutrition direct selling company, has expanded its Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) with the addition of sports medicine specialist Chakarg Pongurgsorn, M.D., Ph.D., of Thailand.

The NAB is comprised of leading experts around the world in the fields of nutrition and health who educate and train Herbalife independent distributors on the principles of nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyle. The board is chaired by David Heber, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Pongurgsorn is deputy director of research of the College of Sports Science and Technology at Thailand's Mahidol University. He also serves as a clinical instructor in the rehabilitation medicine department at Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

In addition to his teaching duties, Pongurgsorn is a member of the advisory board of the Physical Activity Promotion Committee of Thailand's Ministry of Health, medical consultant to the Thai National Rhythmic Gymnastic Team, and a consulting physician at Bumrungraj Hospital's wellness center. He has also served as his country's team doctor in multiple Special Olympics, female national volleyball, and other sporting events.

Pongurgsorn holds a doctor of philosophy and master's degree in kinesiology from University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana and earned board certified rehabilitation medicine training from Siriraj Hospital after his doctor of medicine from University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Philippines.

Internationally Recognized Physician from India Joins Herbalife's Nutrition Advisory Board

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2007--Herbalife Ltd.(NYSE:HLF) has expanded its Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) with the addition of Anoop Misra, M.D. of India, an internationally recognized specialist on diabetes and metabolic disease. Anoop Misra was awarded Padma Shri (one of the highest national honors) by the President of India.
The Herbalife NAB is comprised of leading experts around the world in the fields of nutrition and health who educate and train Herbalife independent distributors on the principles of nutrition, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. The board is chaired by David Heber, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the university of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Misra is director and head of the diabetes and metabolic diseases department and a senior consultant in internal medicine at Fortis Group of Hospitals, New Delhi. He is a former professor of medicine and diabetologist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he received his medical degree. Misra has also been
on the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Royal London Medical School in the U.K.
He has been published in more than 150 scientific papers in international journals; received multiple awards including the highest award for medical science in India, the Dr. B. C. Roy Award; and has
served as the personal physician of two Prime Ministers of India. He is a reviewer for several prestigious international journals including "The Lancet" and "Circulation."
In addition to his work, Misra is very active in community outreach programs that bring health and nutrition education and awareness to disadvantaged children and women in urban slums, and to school children.

Herbalife Sponsor Laguna Phuket Triathlon

Herbalife has been named official nutrition and healthy living sponsor of the 2006 Laguna Phuket Triathlon, Southeast Asia's premier triathlon, to be held Sunday, December 3rd at the Laguna Phuket Resort on the northwestcoast of Phuket island in southern Thailand.

Now in its 13th year, more than 1,000 athletes are expected to compete. Last year's winners, Greg Bennett from Australia and Canada's Samantha McGlone, are expected to compete again this year.

The Laguna Phuket Triathlon will offer 25 guaranteed entries to the 2007 Ironman Australia to be awarded to the highest place finishers in each age group who have declared at race registration their intention to accept an Ironman Australia qualifying slot.

Herbalife employees, independent distributors, friends and family will be taking part as Team Herbalife, either individually or on relay teams. The company will also stage a 6km Fun Run during the event.

Also on the same day, Herbalife will co-sponsor the final phase of the Brazilian Triathlon Trophy, Trofeu Brasil, the last of seven that began mid-March with competition in four cities, with approximately 900 participants per race that come from Brazil's 27 states and from various South American countries. Herbalife-sponsored Brazilian athletes Fabio Carvalho and Guto Antunes will compete in the final leg of the race in Santos. Recently they placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Men's Elite Pro division of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, in Malibu, Calif.

These events are two of eight triathlons the company will sponsor this year, during which over 600 people will participate on the company's team. These sponsorships are in support of the company's commitment to leading a healthy lifestyle.

Herbalife Extends Triathlon Sponsorhip into Asia

Herbalife Ltd. a global nutrition direct selling company,furthers its involvement in triathlons as official nutrition sponsor of Greece's top female triathlete, Denise Dimaki; current female junior triathlon European champion Anais Moniz of Portugal; and Daniel Chi Wo Lee and Lemuel Ching Yin Lau, both of Hong Kong. Dimaki, 28, a former competitive runner who returned to the sport after giving birth 15 months ago, is ranked in the top 20 in Europe. A fire marshall when she's not competing, Dimaki has been a member of the Greek National Triathlon team since 2002 and placed first in the Balkan and Pan-Hellenic Triathlon Championship in 2005.

Moniz, 17, holds the 2005 world Junior Female Triathlon title and will defend her world title in Lausanne, Switzerland in September at the Lausanne Triathlon World Championships. Already ranked in the top 150 in the world, she was nominated by the Portuguese Sports Associated Press as Most Promising Athlete of the Year 2006.

Lee, 29, has been racing professionally since 2000. He placed first in the Hong Kong International Triathlon Championships, 2000-2004, in the men's elite open category, as well as in the China International Triathlon Championships, 2001-2004, and in France's 2002 Font Romeu International Sprint Triathlon.

Lau, 23, has been competing for four years. He has won numerous titles in the Elite/Under 23 category including the Asian Duathlon Championships, 2006; ITU International Triathlon, 2005-2006, placed 10th in the China National Games, 2005; and won the Asian Aquathlon Championship, 2003.

The product and performance-based contracts states that athletes will compete as part of Team Herbalife, wearing branded kits when competing as ITU (International Triathlon Union) and club regulations permit. They will also be incorporating Herbalife's products into their nutritional regime.

Herbalife is already sponsor of more than 45 events and 25 athletes worldwide including six triathlons and 10 triathletes in a wide ranging program designed to underline the company's commitment to a healthy active lifestyle supported by good nutrition.
